If you’re looking for some serious heat, these lamps are where it’s at. We built these for when you need high-intensity radiant heating without the fuss. Most people are used to those old-school quartz halogen tubes with the tungsten filaments. These are different. We swapped the tungsten for carbon fiber, and that one change totally shifts how the lamp handles heat and stress. The Power and the Size At 1500W and 560mm long, these things hit hard and fast. We chose this specific length so you can cover a wide area without worrying about those annoying cold spots. It’s a concentrated blast of infrared that sinks into materials way quicker than your standard resistive heaters. Just a heads-up: because they put out so much energy, make sure your mounting brackets are rock solid. You don’t want them sagging once things get hot. Why Carbon Fiber? Here’s the cool part. Carbon fiber doesn’t need to get as scorching hot as tungsten to do its job, but it’s actually more efficient at pumping out medium and long-wave IR. That means you get the heat you need without accidentally scorching your materials. To keep the fiber from oxidizing, we wrap everything in a high-purity quartz envelope. It makes the lamp tough enough to handle a dusty shop or a gritty industrial floor. Plus, it hits full temp almost the second you flip the switch. Getting Them Set Up If you’ve got a 560mm footprint, you can usually just pop these in where your old tubes used to be. I’d suggest wiring them to a PID controller. It’s the best way to make sure you don’t accidentally cook the element. And a quick tip on the installation: carbon fiber handles vibration way better than tungsten, but the quartz glass is still glass. It’ll break if you’re not careful. If your machine shakes a lot, use some dampened clamps. Whatever you do, don’t over-tighten those clips. Leave a tiny bit of breathing room for the glass to expand as it heats up, or you’ll end up with a crack.
