Introduction
We built these carbon fiber infrared heat lamps for one reason: textile dryer lines that need heat, and need it fast. Not just warm—focused, intense, and efficient. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill bulbs. They’re purpose-built heating elements, designed to pack a serious punch into a small space. The whole point? Dry fabrics, yarns, or coated materials quickly, with a system that can handle being run nonstop, day after day.
The Power Behind the Heat
Let’s talk specs, but the human way. These carbon fiber IR lamps are all about performance—pure and simple. They run on high voltage, often 400V. That’s what lets you get high wattage out of a relatively small tube. In a 300mm length, you can hit 2500W or more. That’s a lot of heat, right where you need it. That kind of power density is exactly why the shape matters. The 300mm length gives you a tight, controllable heating zone. The 10mm tube diameter keeps thermal mass low, so the lamp heats up fast and responds instantly when you change line speed or material thickness. But here’s the catch: it runs hot. So your dryer’s cooling and airflow have to be up to the task.
What’s Inside
We use carbon fiber filaments because they give you stable resistance and predictable infrared output. They also handle the constant heating and cooling better than those fragile wire elements. The filament sits inside a quartz envelope, and we add a reflective coating to push the energy forward. Less wasted heat. More uniform coverage on the target. For the connection, we stick with the R7s connector. It handles high current, locks in securely, and makes replacement a snap. And because it’s carbon fiber, the lamp resists sagging and hot spots. So you get consistent output over time. It will age, and output may drift a bit, but the core geometry stays solid.
Why This Works in Textile Drying
In textile drying, these lamps shine when you need fast surface drying without scorching the material underneath. The short-wave infrared hits moisture and finishes quickly, so you can keep your line speed steady. The compact tube shape makes it easy to pack dense arrays into existing ovens. And with the R7s connection, swapping a lamp out is quick and painless. We built these to live in tough dryer environments—heat, vibration, dust. They deliver repeatable heating, easy maintenance, and performance you can count on. Just remember: the more power you pack into that small space, the more your machine’s thermal management has to keep up.
