We built these carbon fiber tubes for those moments when you need heat to actually sink deep into a material, but you don’t want that blinding, eye-searing glare you get from standard quartz lamps. At 640mm long and pumping out 2600W, this thing is designed to move a lot of heat across a wide area, and it does it fast. The power behind it Putting 2600W into a 640mm space creates a serious amount of thermal energy. We went with carbon fiber for the heating element because it can handle a much heavier current than the old-school nichrome wire. What does that mean for you? It means the tube hits its target temperature almost instantly. You aren’t standing around waiting for the machine to warm up, which saves you time and cuts down on wasted electricity. Why we use carbon fiber Most halogen lamps rely on gas-filled quartz to make light and heat. We do things differently. Our tubes use far infrared (FIR) radiation. It’s a different kind of heat—one that penetrates deeper. To keep the element from oxidizing, we wrap it in a high-purity quartz sleeve. One of the best parts? Carbon fiber doesn’t sag. Even when it’s glowing hot, it keeps its shape. That’s huge because if the element shifts, you get hot spots. And hot spots lead to burnt products. A few things to keep in mind You can plug these into most industrial controllers, but don’t slack on your wiring. A 2600W load is no joke. Use the right gauge wire so you don’t run into voltage drops at the terminals. Also, a word of caution: these things are powerful, but they’re fragile. One clumsy move during installation and you’ll crack the quartz. Just make sure your mounting brackets aren’t squeezing the glass. And one last tip—check your cooling fans. This tube throws off a massive amount of ambient heat. If your fans aren’t up to the task, you might end up frying your nearby sensors.
