We went with 1200W for one reason: serious heat in a small footprint. It brings preform surfaces up to temperature quickly, so your cycle times stay tight without pushing the heater zone past its limits. And it plays nice with what you already have. Runs on standard industrial voltage, so you can drop it into existing controls without rewiring the whole station. We also matched the length and focal distance to the blowing machine’s heating tunnel. That means the heat lands exactly where you want it, every single time, across the preform wall.
What It’s Made Of
The carbon fiber elements respond fast and stay steady, even after repeated heating and cooling cycles. The quartz envelope handles high temps and gives you a clean infrared spectrum—so you’re not wasting energy on visible light. A reflective coating keeps the energy moving forward, pushing more usable watt density right onto the preform surface. And the R7s base? It’s a tough, proven connector for linear lamps. Easy to wire, secure in the holder, and built to handle the vibration of a machine that’s always on the move.
How It Feels on the Line
In PET bottle blowing, you need heat that’s fast—but also controllable. This IR lamp gives you that quick temperature rise, so the material stretches consistently.
