The Nitty-Gritty

Let’s get into the details. These tubes run on 400V and crank out 2500W of power. That’s a serious punch packed into a compact size. With just 300mm of active heating length, you get a huge amount of heat concentrated in a small spot. So you don’t have to tear apart your whole line just to get the heat you need. Just a heads-up: this power demands a stable supply. Make sure your wiring and contactor are up to the job. Otherwise, you’ll run into voltage drop and overheating at the contacts.

What’s Inside

At the heart of it is a carbon fiber element, snug inside a quartz tube with halogen gas. The halogen does something pretty clever—it keeps the element clean at high temps, so the output stays steady, hour after hour. The quartz body is built to handle thermal shock, but it gets seriously hot. So give it some breathing room when you mount it. And the connectors? We use R7s or SK15. They make wiring and swapping out a tube on the line simple and secure. No fumbling around.

Real-World Use

On the floor, these tubes are the perfect drop-in for focused heating tasks. PET blowing, thermoforming, activating adhesives—they handle it all. Because they heat up so quickly, you shave time off each cycle. And the compact size makes upgrading an existing machine a whole lot easier. But here’s the thing about that intensity—it needs to be managed. You’ll need proper cooling and shielding to keep the surrounding area from overheating and to protect nearby components.
